About me
Angie has been with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) for over 25 years. The majority of her career was with Juvenile Justice and Youth Services as the Assistant Program Director at the Castle Country Youth Center, in Price, Utah. Currently, Angie serves as the Director of the Ombuds programs at DHHS. The Ombuds programs include child protection, disabilities, long-term care and congregate care. Angie enjoys building programs and improving outcomes for those we serve. She takes pride in fostering connections, strengthening partnerships and being part of a system that creates opportunities for awareness, growth, and change.
Angie received her Master’s Degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University. Her Master’s Thesis focused on the study of traumatic brain injuries and the impact on neuropsychological outcomes. Angie has three amazing adult children, three horses, a basset hound named Stevie, and a hound dog named Kate. She has used super glue on various occasions to avoid stitches and has a great story about how her hair saved her life. In her free time she likes training horses, barrel racing, a little yard work, and anything that involves sunshine.
