Marie West is the Marketing Director at Live Empowered and a Host Home provider, where she works directly with adults with disabilities in a family-style living environment. Through both her professional role and daily hands-on experience, Marie focuses on implementing person-centered practices that prioritize each individual’s dreams, needs, and abilities. She specializes in translating these principles into practical systems, staff training, and storytelling that help teams move beyond compliance-based care into meaningful, relationship-driven support. Marie has been actively involved in developing and sharing Live Empowered’s “Dreams” framework, helping staff and support coordinators better understand how to identify, support, and advocate for what truly matters—while also empowering individuals to advocate for themselves and take an active role in shaping their own lives. Her work bridges strategy and real-life application, making complex concepts accessible and actionable.
