About me
Teighlor Kodel is a Crisis Program Administrator with the Utah Department of Health and Human Services, working within the Office of Substance Use and Mental Health where she oversees Crisis Receiving Centers across the state as well as Utah's Crisis Worker Certification Program. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Arizona State University in 2020. Prior to joining the crisis team at the Department of Health and Human Services, Teighlor served as the Crisis Residential Program Supervisor for both the Receiving Center and the Crisis Recovery Unit at Davis Behavioral Health. Teighlor was involved in the development of the Receiving Center from its opening and helped support the expansion of similar programs across the state. Teighlor’s dedication to crisis intervention and suicide prevention is deeply personal as she lost her father to suicide in 2013. Since then, she has become a passionate advocate for suicide prevention, crisis services, and substance use treatment. In addition to her work with the state, Teighlor serves as the Executive Director of a small local nonprofit supporting some of Utah’s most vulnerable populations. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and being outdoors.
